Có người nói rằng:”Cờ Bạc và Phụ Nữ là những món quyến rũ nhất trong cuôc đời của một người đàn ông.” Tôi cũng đã từng đem cuôc đời mình để mà đánh cá trên canh bạc,đánh cá trên những mảnh tình vắt qua đời tôi, nhưng bây giờ tôi không còn tin nữa, trong cuộc đời người ta có nhiều thứ rất là quan trọng, bây giờ đối với tôi mà nói: chính là yêu chân thật một người và mọi người, mặc dù số mạng và sức khoẻ không đứng về phía tôi, nhưng mà tôi tin là: tôi nhất định sẽ cố gắng đem phần đời còn lại để chiến thắng tất cả gian truân cuộc đời hầu mong mang lại những điều tốt lành đối với người tôi yêu và mọi người chung quanh.

Vài Nét Về Tác Giã: Mẹ: Hồ Đắc… (Huế), Ba: Nguyễn Phúc Vĩnh…(Huế). Trước 1975 lớn lên tại thành phố biển Nha Trang, sau 1975 di cư vào Sài Gòn, sau đó di tản và định cư tại thành phố Las Vegas, Tiểu bang Nevada, Hoa Kỳ. Tốt Nghiệp Trường Đại Học UNLV (University Of Nevada Las Vegas) về Computer, Applied Mathematics, và Statistics, Tác Giả hiện sống và làm việc tại Mỹ.

Alain Bao Phan graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with dual degrees in Statistics and Computer Science. In 2001, Alain co-authored a statistical study with Dr. Malwane M. A. Ananda of UNLV, entitled “Performance Of Two-Way Anova Procedures When Cell Frequencies and Variancess Are Unequal”, published by Marcel Dekker Inc, New York in the esteemed journal Communications In Statistics (Vol. 30, No. 4, 2001).
Outside of his work in the field of mathematics and statistics, Alain is a talented musician and writer. Alain is a trained classical guitarist who has played, composed, and recorded with other well-known Vietnamese musicians. Alain has published his first Vietnamese collection of short stories, Tears of Winter, based on his experiences as a Vietnamese refugee in the United States.
